Nobody walks alone
Some days are heavierthan a person should carry alone.
EveryBuddy is an always-on companion built for people sleeping rough — a kind voice in the middle of the night, a steady hand in the middle of the day, and a quiet bridge to the human help that can change everything.
Free. Anonymous. No phone, no app, no judgment.
What we promise
Mental Health Support For Everyone
Five and a half million Americans live with a serious mental illness. Hundreds of thousands sleep outside tonight. EveryBuddy is here for the moment between — when someone needs to be heard, right now, on their terms.
Always here, never tired
A patient companion that listens at 3 a.m. the same way it listens at noon. No queue, no clock, no closing time.
Dignity first, always
No paperwork. No ID. No questions you have to answer. People stay anonymous unless they choose otherwise — and what they share stays with them.
A bridge, not a wall
When a person is ready, EveryBuddy hands them off — to a shelter bed, a clinician, a warm meal, a crisis line. Tech opens the door; humans walk people through it.
How it works
Step up to a kiosk. Start a conversation.
EveryBuddy lives in small, weatherproof kiosks placed where people already are: outside shelters, beside libraries, at community fridges. No download. No login. Just press to talk.
Walk up — say anything
A soft chime, a warm voice, a screen with three big buttons. "I just want to talk." "I need somewhere safe tonight." "I'm scared." Whichever you pick is the right one.
Be heard — without being measured
EveryBuddy listens without diagnosing. It reflects what it heard back, in plain words, and asks what would help next. Want silence for a minute? It waits with you.
Find the next step — together
From here it offers what's close and what's open: a bed at the nearest shelter, a counselor on shift, a community meal, a ride. With consent, it can warm-handoff the conversation to a real person on the other end.
Come back whenever
Same kiosk. Same companion. It remembers the parts of the story a person wanted it to keep, and forgets the rest the moment they ask.
Why we built this
We kept meeting people the system had quietly let slip.
EveryBuddy started with a question we couldn't shake: where does someone sleeping outside actually go when their mind is the hardest thing about their day? Hotlines need a phone. Clinics need an appointment. Friends need a friend. And help, when it finally arrives, often comes through a stranger holding a clipboard.
So we built something simpler. A kind voice in a small box, on a street the city already walks past. A companion that can listen at the speed of a real person — and step aside, with respect, the moment a real person is ready to step in.
We don't think AI replaces a counselor or a case worker. We think it can keep someone company until one of them can get there — and gently make sure they do.
The opposite of homelessness isn't a house. It's belonging. We want EveryBuddy to be the first thing that says, you belong.
